Stray Cat Kit.

Hey everyone,

A couple of months ago before winter began to set in, a little stray kitten named that my family and I have named Kit found his way onto our porch. He has a family and they're close by and I decided to take some time and film some footage of him.

Kit seems very friendly and he normally drops by to get food from us and we do feed him. He sure is cute when he's meowing and rubbing against people. LOL!

While working at the Nasher Museum, my colleague Taylor and I got a chance to interview staff member Peter Tukei who works at the information desk. Peter, a native from the province of Uganda, has a love for literature and he's very knowledgeable when it comes to reading works fiction.

So when we approached him and asked him about the book discussion for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel Americanah he gave a lot of insight as to what he felt the book was about and how it relates to the world view of Nigerians. Peter's critique of the story was insightful and had a deep focus on the themes of immigration, the hardships that many people faced when trying to integrate into a new society that's different from their own and so forth.

Football and Art.

While working at the Nasher Museum, I got to do more than just work on promotional material for the exhibitions and seminars that the museum had on display. I also wanted to try my hand at writing since it's one of my many passions.

So I got a chance to interview a couple of the football players from Duke University who were also working as part-time security guards for the Nasher Museum. These young men enjoyed working for the Nasher and it was a great experience for me to get the chance to speak with them about their goals and plans for the future.

The Summer Days Nasher Nights 'Make and Take' Program...FOR KIDS! :)

Hey parents,

Want your children to do something else besides sit in the house in front of the television this summer? Then bring them to the 'Make and Take' program on Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer here at the Nasher Museum's Summer Das Nasher Nights.

It's a great way for children of all ages and cultures to interact with one another, to learn new arts and crafts here at the museum and get an early start on learning about the history of art. The Make and Take is fun, creative and it gives the next generation a broad look at the wonderful world of art.

I journeyed back to the Hayti Heritage Center and got to film some amazing artwork of the talented and well-known artist C.O'mega Barnes. This woman is a visual arts genius who didn't need paint or pencils for her 'Spiritual Awakening' exhibit. Check it out!
